Peter Shilton Won 125 Caps For England

Peter Shilton is England’s most capped player with 125 Caps and his football career spanned over 30 years.

Peter Shilton represented England at five major tournaments, the World Cup Finals in 1982, 1986 and 1990 at the Euros in 1980 and 1988. He was selected as England Captain 15 times.

He made his senior international debut for England against East Germany in November 1970.

He won his final cap for England against Italy in the World Cup Finals 3/4 place play off on 7 July 1990

Shilton did not make his World Cup finals debut until the age of 32, but he played in 17 finals matches and shares the record of 10 clean sheets in World Cup finals matches with French goalkeeper Fabien Barthez.


Wayne Rooney Won 120 Caps For England

With 53 goals in 120 international caps, Wayne Rooney is England’s all-time record goalscorer, youngest goalscorer, most capped out-field player and second most-capped player, behind Peter Shilton

Wayne Rooney represented England at the World Cup Finals in 2006, 2010 and 2014 and at the Euros in 2004, 2012 & 2016 and was selected as England Captain 23 times.

Rooney made his senior international debut for England against Australia at Upton Park on February 2003 aged 17 and is England’s youngest ever goalscorer and England’s all time record goal scorer.

He played at Euro 2004 and scored four goals, briefly becoming the youngest goalscorer in the history of the European Championships.

He has won the England Player of the Year award four times, in 2008, 2009, 2014, and 2015. He won his final cap on 15 November 2018.


David Beckham Won 115 Caps For England

David Beckham played for England in Midfield and scored 17 goals in 115 international caps. He captained England 59 times.

David Beckham represented England at the World Cup Finals in 1998, 2002, and 2006 and at the Euros in 2000 and 2004 and was selected as England Captain 59 times.

He made his senior international debut for England against Moldova on 1st September 1996

He won his final cap for England against Belarus on 14 October 2009

For me, one of his most memorable England highlights was Beckham’s stoppage time 30-yard curling free-kick against Greece in the 2002 World Cup qualifying game in October 2001. That goal ensured England qualified for the 2002 World Cup Finals


Steven Gerrard Won 114 Caps For England

Steven Gerrard played for England in Midfield and scored 21 goals in 114 international caps. He captained England 38 times.

Steve Gerrard represented England at the World Cup Finals in 2006, 2010 and 2014 and at the Euros in 2000, 2004 and 2012 and was selected as England Captain 38 times.

He made his senior international debut against Ukraine on 31 May 2000.

He won his final cap against Costa Rica on 24 June 2014

He scored his first international goal in the famous 5–1 victory over Germany in a 2002 World Cup qualifier in September 2001, and while England qualified for the finals, Gerrard was forced to pull out of the squad due to injury.


Bobby Moore Won 108 Caps For England

Bobby Moore played for England as a Defender and scored 17 goals in 108 international caps. He captained England 90 times, most famously as a World Cup Winner in 1966

Bobby Moore represented England at the World Cup Finals in 1962, 1966 & 1970 and at the Euros in 1968 and was selected as England Captain 90 times

He made his senior international debut for England against Peru on 20 May 1962

He won his final cap for England against Italy on 14 November 1973

Ashley Cole played for England as a Defender and scored 17 goals in 107 international caps for England
